I want to give a shout out to Pitch Slapped! Berklee College of Music’s award winning a cappella group has another accolade to add to its belt - winning this years International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella!  This power house a cappella group is in the process of releasing a new album, which hopefully will drop this summer!  Check out their first single off the album, Moves Like Jagger originally performed by Maroon 5.

I’m sure everybody has seen this at this point, but Josh, the newest winner of the voice, has an incredibly beautiful tone.  His emotional delivery and artistic creativity is sure to keep him on the scene long after people forget about this season of the voice.  Check out his cover of It Will Rain by Bruno Mars right here!

If you haven’t heard of the Piano Guys, you really should check them out!  This Cello Piano duo has unbelievable talent and amazing videos that will leave you at a loss for words.

Clara C (or Clara Chung) after her rise to fame from Kollaboration 10 in LA has posted tons of covers and originals of her singing or playing guitar.  Here is a recent one of a popular Macklemore song “Thrift Shop”.  This is an awesome jazzy cover of rap song and she KILLS it.  Check it out.

Scott Hoying, Kevin Olusola, and Luke Edgemon perform an amazing cover of Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepson.  There are no bad songs, just bad renditions.  Speechless…

Kiah Victoria sings Thinkin’ Bout You by Frank Ocean in a sexy smooth piano/background vocals cover.  Check out her facebook fan page @ http://www.facebook.com/kiahvictoria/

The Pirate Bay a sharing site for music and video that has seen a lot of press recently since being banned in the UK by many major Internet Service Providers.  Ironically, since the ban proxy servers trying to keep the sharing site up and running have seen more traffic possibly due to the publicity or as a protest against the government restricting online content.  While protecting the copyrights of the music industry is a noble cause, it can’t come from government.  It has to be individual people who realize that large scale piracy hurts the industry as a whole.

This a cappella group is a local group from Northeastern in Boston.  If you love a cappella and haven’t heard of them yet, you should definitely check them out.  I can personally say that they are amazing live and am so lucky to have shared the stage with them.  Check out Give Me Love/Cold War by the Nor’easters

This is a really old one, and I bet most people have heard it already, but Mac Lethal is definitely one of the best rappers on Youtube.  He can rip through lyrics like busta but unlike a lot of people out there you can hear his lyrics and he keeps his flow.  Check him out if you haven’t already.

Watsky!  I don’t know how I never heard of him until now, but this recent college grad is pursuing a rap career on his terms and seems to be doing alright.  Dude has some serious writing talent, check it out.
